On a business trip to Ao Nang in November 2003 I observed how rapidly the scene was changing, as more tourists discovered the paradise I and others had known for some time. Infrastructure, like the new international airport at Krabi, being developed to cater for increased tourist numbers. After many discussions with both locals & tourists, a vision emerged I see the bones of
a
boutique hotel & cafe-bar, I mused,
looking at a superbly located near complete building shell; it's small but a start. 12 weeks, and many sleepless nights later the area was blessed by the arrival of Café Pourquoi Downunder ....... perhaps it was a portent of things to come, the third night after opening was ................ Black Friday. |
